Twenty one pilots, stylised as twenty øne piløts or sometimes just ‘top’, are the American duo from Ohio that has recently taken the music industry by storm. Often referring to themselves as “just two guys on stage”, they nevertheless manage to put on the most electrifying and exciting shows for their fans, having sold out Madison Square Garden in New York twice in a row during their ‘Emotional Roadshow World Tour’. The group began as a trio back in 2009, but when Chris Salih and Nick Thomas left in 2011, Josh Dun joined Tyler Joseph as the drummer, and the two got to work on revolutionising music. They released their self-titled debut album in 2009, and then ‘Regional at Best’ in 2011 before being signed by Fueled by Ramen in 2012 and releasing their label debut, ‘Vessel’. Their latest album, ‘Blurryface’ is what shot them to fame as the singles ‘Stressed Out’ and ‘Ride’ found overwhelming success on the charts, with each going Platinum in the United States. After consistently staying high on the charts, twenty one pilots recorded ‘Heathens’ for the soundtrack of ‘Suicide Squad’ which also was extremely successful and made them the first alternative artist to have two concurrent top ten singles in the USA. Their hard work has brought them countless accolades, including the Grammy for best Pop Duo/ Group Performance in 2017. In 2018, Twenty One Pilots made a surprise return with 'Jumpsuit' following it up immediately with slew of tour dates around the world and the official announcement of a new album, 'Trench'.
