The War on Drugs are an American indie rock band, all the way from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently they are comprised of Adam Granduciel (vocals & guitar), David Hartley (bass), Robbie Bennett (keyboards), Charlie Hall (drums), Jon Natchez (saxophone & keyboards), Anthony LaMarca (guitar). The group began in 2003, after Granduciel moved to Philadelphia and met Kurt Vile. The two hit it off immediately and shared a great love for making music, so of course they started making music together. By 2011 however, Vile had left the group, but they continued on without him and released their debut album ‘Slave Ambient’. To date they’ve released three albums together, and are currently gearing up for the release of their fourth ‘A Deeper Understanding’, having unveiled their new single ‘Thinking of a Place’ in April, 2017.
