About

For over three hundred years, a theatre has stood where Her Majesty's Theatre stands today. It's first guise was as The Queen's in 1705, becoming The King's in 1714 and reopening again in 1791. It was in 1816 that the theatre became Her Majesty's forever, after the ascension of Queen Victoria. Currently, the theatre is the home of The Phantom of the Opera, which first opened in 1986.
