‘Rodgers & Hammerstein’s' first musical Oklahoma! comes to life this summer on stage at The MAC from North Belfasts' Flax Trust Arts. (The company that brought you Oliver! The Musical at the start of the year.) Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. A secondary romance concerns cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancée, Ado Annie Oklahoma is full of family favourites show tunes like Oh What A Beautiful Mornin', Kansas City, I Can't Say No and more.
