In 1999, three young men Christ Batten (bass), Rou Reynolds (vocals & keys) and Rob Rolfe got together to form the early band Hyrbryd. After four years and an EP, they added Rory Clewlow (guitars) and switched things up with a name change to Enter Shikari, with Reynolds now putting more focus onto his vocals and electronics. By 2006 the group were ready for their official debut album and released ‘Take to the Skies’, a phenomenal 17 track metal and electronicore – which they are often said to have pioneered - record. Their politically charged lyrics and new brand of sound have earned them many awards, from Best Live Band (three times) and Spirit of Independence from Kerrang!, to Reynolds own Hero of the Year Award. The electrifying band are back again this year, with their fifth album ‘The Spark’.
