As the cultural powerhouse of Wales, there’s nowhere better equipped to offer a great weekend in Cymru than Cardiff. Not only do Cardiff’s venues host regular festivals, but the city is also renowned for its eclectic music scene with a particular strength in rock.

Cardiff’s music scene is highly regarded across the country, and for good reason – you won’t struggle to find a concert to catch there any week of the year. The 7,500-capacity Motorpoint Arena often draws in the biggest names in pop and rock, while venues like The Globe, Tramshed, and Clwb Ifor Bach are the place to catch homegrown acts on the up. If that isn’t enough, clubs like Pryzm and Pulse will keep the music pumping all night with their regular nights.

Music isn’t all that Cardiff offers though, thanks to arts centres like the Wales Millennium Centre which is the city’s main hub for classical music, opera, dance and theatre. Wales is also the nation’s sporting capital, home to incredible stadiums like the Millennium Stadium (the home of the Welsh rugby team), Cardiff City Stadium (home of Cardiff City Football Club), Cardiff International Sports Stadium and Cardiff Arms Park.
