If the capital seems a bit too busy to you there's the wonderful seaside town of Brighton just an hour south. The broad beach is backed by retro amusement arcades and regency-era constructions. But it's not just about the scenery, as stunning as it is.

Freshers Week
in Brighton
Last updated on 11th January 2019

Make the most of your first week at university; seven days intended for social gatherings and partying hard. Brighton has an enviable reputation as one of the best student cities, so it goes all out during Freshers’ week with plenty of club nights and live performances to enjoy.

Aptly-named - ‘The Haunt’ is a popular meeting point for students and young crowds who enjoy some 80’s cheese to get cracking, as well as some live performances thrown into the mix. Patterns is another favourite, with drink deals to die for and late night parties to live for, all set on the city’s beachfront. Brighton’s thriving gay community can be found at Club Revenge, home to light shows, sound systems and a pumping party vibe, while PRYZM adds a touch of glam to an otherwise messy night out, with VIP suites and a stylish interior.
