Feeling the pinch recently? Don’t worry, we’ve got your back. Our list shows you how to have a good time in Birmingham without burning a hole in your pocket. Flick through and find a whole host of events that make for a cracking night out - and more importantly; they’re all under £10!

While Birmingham is the UK’s second city, its prices are significantly lower than the number one spot, London, which means it’s easier to go out on a budget. What’s more, its local talent and venues are still high quality, creating a wealth of fantastic events to choose from. Whether you like hitting up the clubs or prefer the local gig scene, or whether you prefer the stage to be graced by dancers, actors or comedians, Birmingham has plenty to keep you entertained.

Dress up to the sixes and head out to PRYZM, Hare and Hounds, Nuvo or Snobs, where you’ll find many club nights catering to a wide range of musical palettes, including retro throwback tunes, spinning DJ sets, funk, soul and indie-rock. If you want a laid-back and casual affair, comedy nights at Cherry Red’s Cafe Bar or gigs at the Sunflower Lounge or The Edge may be more your style.

When it comes to theatre, don’t be put off by Birmingham’s spectacular and epic sites. The New Alexandra Theatre is over a century old and certifies an elegant night out, but best of all - it offers some very reasonably-priced tickets on occasions. For more chances to bag a steal, the Crescent Theatre is a volunteer-run venue that frequently stages great productions and the Birmingham Repertory Theatre is a great spot to see lively and engaging homegrown productions.

With so much choice, it’s time to start saving money instead of sulking over it. Browse the list and start enjoying what Birmingham has to offer.
